Villa Barissan

Villa Barissan is a delightful three bedroom retreat with its own distinct character. It marries rustic charm with small touches of European sophistication yet still manages to complement the relaxed pace of tropical living on the island of Bali.

Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of mainstream tourism, Villa Barissan is situated off a narrow laneway that is not accessible by car. It is just a few metres on foot to the front entrance gate that opens wide to reveal a manicured garden compound.

Desirable Location
While Villa Barissan is cocooned from the traffic of Seminyak, it enjoys a desirable location down a quiet alley that connects Jl. Dhyana Pura with the main road. It is within convenient walking distance or just a short bike ride to shops, restaurants and cafes.

The evolving district of Seminyak has everything that today’s modern traveller is looking for. The sand and surf of Blue Ocean Beach is mere minutes away along with a great choice of wining, dining and nightlife alternatives. The airport is 20 minutes by car.

Home Comforts
Villa Barissan takes on a classic L-shape structure that wraps itself around a swimming pool and timber sundeck. Each bedroom has been carefully positioned for optimal privacy yet there are also common spaces for guests to come together throughout the day.

A galley style kitchen and open dining environment is the heart of the property. Fully equipped with cooking utensils and elegant tableware, it is a setting that welcomes social evenings around the white-washed table to sip wine and enjoy the breeze.

Sleeping Sanctuaries
There are two spaciously appointed bedrooms separated by an air-conditioned living room. Decorated in elaborate chandeliers, framed mirrors and old world treasures, each bedroom is a sanctuary for the senses with its earthy colour palette and silky textiles.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom facility showcasing a similar design aesthetic. The first features a semi-outdoor rain shower and terrace while the master suite has a lavish terrazzo bathtub and glamorous light fixtures.

Elegant Lounge
The indoor lounge is resplendent in natural shades of colour and comes with oversized chairs and sofas to sit and relax in air-conditioned comfort. Full length French doors bathe the room in sunlight and can be left open for fresh air to circulate.

A cosy recess at the back of the lounge features a home entertainment system and satellite television. There is also a carved timber daybed filled with plump scatter cushions to enhance viewing pleasure or read in peace.

Bungalow Bedroom
The third bedroom is a tastefully designed bungalow at the end of the garden with its own bathroom facility. It is the perfect spot to accommodate teenage children seeking their own space and privacy away from adults yet remain within the safety of the compound.

Outdoor Pleasures
While Villa Barissan pays tribute to the decorative traditions of yesteryear, its outdoor area has certainly been inspired by the tropics. The garden is edged in miniature bamboo and other species of indigenous flora.

A traditional gazebo accommodating chairs made from reclaimed timber overlooks the swimming pool. At the other end is a round sofa with an adjustable canopy. And tucked into a far corner of the garden is a neat patch of grass and a pair of reclining sun beds.
